To begin with, both sets of pyramids were built in similar fashions, and both the Pyramid of Khufu and the Pyramid of the Sun are nearly rivaled for tallest pyramid in the world. Separated only by the pyramid at Cholula, Mexico. (Arnold and Hewitt, 25) Secondly, each culture had their fair share of Gods and Goddesses, and worshiped them accordingly. So much so, that even after so many centuries have passed, the people of today know about their Gods and Goddesses and are completely fascinated, with what we now consider their mythology, about them all. Along with those things, both cultures placed their pyramids in locations that not only went along with their mythologies, but the nature of their regions. While I focused mainly on the architecture of the movements, I 'm coming away from this class with a new found respect and awe at what the people of old were able to accomplish with the limited tools and resources they had. Researching and learning about these two groups of pyramids has helped me gain a new understanding of the history of their time periods, not only art wise, but with what was going on in the times they were constructed. More so, I have a better understanding of how the people of the time have helped shape and influence history. Many other groups of people have been inspired by the designs and of eras past, that one can look at buildings and other forms of art around the world and see bits of the past shining
