Pursuing My Bachelor's Degree: Personal Statement Of Purpose

After graduating with a bachelors degree from Chowan University I felt should spend some time exploring various graduate programs and determine what is closer to my heart rather than jumping straight into any curriculum.

My passion for biology and medicine started my junior year of high school. I was enrolled in anatomy and physiology class and also got to experience my father performing surgery. I remember the feeling of excitement I felt when I saw the surgery because I was fully sentient of what was happening due to learning basic terminology and procedures in my class.

I enrolled to Chowan University to pursue my degree in biology and chemistry and get a better understanding of advanced biological processes. Although biology and chemistry courses came easy to me, it was upper level courses such as biochemistry, genetics, and anatomy and physiology that (captured my interest).

My interest in medical biology was evoked during my junior and senior year and became more focused when I took a biochemistry course. During these two years I

I was able to complete my work efficiently and on time and graduated with bachelors degree in biology and minor in chemistry at twenty years old while have five extra credit hours.

I was able to bounce back after a poor academic performance during freshmen and sophomore years when my priorities were not in the right place. However, after the summer of 2013, I came to understanding with what I would like to do with my future.
