The purpose of process group is to provide a safe environment for group members to work through their thoughts, behaviors and struggles and finding ways to relate this with others, fostering interpersonal interactions and providing growth. Also, this group provides members with a comfortable place to share openly, life events and the co-occurring cognitions and permitting processing of thoughts and ability to practice altered ways of thinking and behaving in a group setting. Focus on self-exploration and giving and receiving feedback. Practice newfound interpersonal skills and behaviors. Unstructured no singular topic of discussion.
