The purpose of college, this question can be answered in many different ways. The purpose of college for some people might be to get a degree and move on into the next chapter in life, but I feel that college should be more than that. I feel that college should be a way to express yourself in ways you couldn’t before and to be able to explore new ideas and to shape yourself to become someone new. College for some people might seem like just another step in the never ending staircase of life, but to me college is more than, that it's shaping me into the person I want to become and shaping my life for what I want and who I want to be. Throughout my high school career, I struggled to fit in with your average group of teenagers, because of this the self image of myself that was quite low just because of the people I was hanging around with were looked down upon by mostly everyone. College to me is a fresh start, a way to be able to look at myself in a new light and connect with the people that positively affect my life. Another goal for my college career is for me to be successful in school. A way for me to accomplish this goal is to really focus and strive for what I see in my future and to not stop until I become the person I want to be. Now, of course I can't expect everything to go according to plan, life can throw many curve balls and really the only thing you can do is to be prepared for them whenever they come around. Some of these curve balls could be simple things like over drafting on your bank account, like I did last weekend in Telluride.
