When I enrolled in DVC, I enrolled in the Puente program, where students like me had similar backgrounds and mentors who were passionate to see me accomplish my educational goals. In the club, I have been honored to help other students pursue their educational goals by organizing firm and college tours, and workshops that assist them to learn about the fields and future college opportunities. One workshop in particular that I organized in November 2016 focused on guiding peers to start their UC application and answer any questions they had in the process. It was rewarding to see a large group of students passionate and excited about transferring.
