Focusing on my past experiences, as a Public Health Nurse, I am able to collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams using clients focused approach and social determinants of health to identify clients needs; establish goals; identifies strategies to meet clients’ goals and evaluate outcomes. I believe that early intervention decreases the odd of poor health outcomes in children and promotes optimum growth and development which contributes to the population health. My philosophy is to contribute to promoting nursing as a profession by providing exemplary care using upstream approach to promote dignity, individuality, cultural sensitivity and generalize wellbeing of individuals. Nursing influenced my career by providing opportunities to work with people from different cultural background, and used phenomenology to explore clients’ perspective …show more content…
Masters in Nurse Practitioner Degree would equip me with the knowledge and skills required to take on leadership role healthcare, and advance my personal and professional development. Also, I will contribute to improved organizational coordination of nursing services

In the next five years, I will be pursing the Doctorate Degree in Nursing. I have passion for education, as it gives me sense of self fulfillment; Masters in Nursing will be a connecting bridge to get to my destination. Also, Masters in nursing education will equip me for taking on leadership roles; hence, I will promote population health, by advocating for health equity. Masters Degree in Nurse Practitioner will endow me with an opportunity for specialization in field of nursing, I will be able to practice with autonomy in providing assessment and managing patients cases, provides medical interventions within scope of practice and promote timely quality care, and decrease waiting time patients spent in health care
