They tie together psychology and principles of law. From helping with criminal investigations maybe by providing an analysis in court, mental illnesses, or learning about laws and legal procedures. With my research in the book, Exploring Psychology by David G. Myers and multiple searches on ebscohost, I have found that forensic psychology is not all it is hyped up to be on television. There are dull days and there are also hectic days. Typically, you are never working alone. Usually, you work with other professionals. Their responsibilities range from wherever you decide to become a forensic psychologist or something close to that field at. You could be a school councilor or psychology teacher and work in at a high school or college/university. You could be a clinical psychologist and also work in a school environment or work for private practice, mental health services, government agencies or military services. It is in best interest to get your undergraduate major in psychology with your bachelors degree and go off to a graduate school and earn your doctorate. To earn your bachelors degree it takes about four years. For the doctorate degree, you can be for four to 7 more years. Personally, I think it is a little crazy to go to school for another eight or eleven more years considering I am currently a freshman in college. A doctorate degree in forensic psychology is recommended and would get you a real job easier than having a bachelors or masters. The higher level of education achieved, the greater you will be paid in the future. It can range from $32,000 with minimum degree or from $95,000 with maximum degree. Those who also offer private practice may make a little bit more because it is their own business. Internships as upperclassmen in college are recommended. Some colleges may provide you with an internship but if not you can look around at mental hospitals, doctoral training programs, or something along those
