There are three levels of measurement: nominal, ordinal, and ratio. Nominal level data is the lowest level of data and is qualitative (word oriented). Ordinal data are assigned numbers reflecting on the order of the relationship between the characters studied. Interval level data is a move from the qualitative scale to the quantitative scale – numbers (Walker, 2009). It also builds on ordinal data and shows an equal value between categories.

There are also three measures of central tendency: mode, median, & mean. The mode is calculated by counting how often each value in the data occurs. The mode is best used to describe categorical (ie, non-numerical) data and is used with nominal levels. The median is the exact midpoint of a distribution or 50th percentile and is used with ordinal level data. The mean is the most important measure and is used for interval and ratio data and is not used with nominal or ordinal data (Walker, 2009, p. 106). Based on the questions asked in this assignment, the statistical analysis would be considered

The chart displays some type of ordering and appears to be an ordinal level which would place this in the median measure of the central tendency (Walker, 2009). The measure I located would show a range value of 24 with a frequency of 30 for the length of time living at the current address with a median range of 72

Siblings - The number of siblings could be shown as interval-ratio because it shows the presence of a zero value and will allow me to see that the ratios will remain constant even though there are differences between the values. Based on the chart, after adding the value (74) and dividing that number by the total number of responses the total would be 6.1. This would be the mean measure.I must admit, I was a little surprised at this question because nowhere in the data did it mention anything about gangs or gang

Why should someone be interested in this problem?(Why is it interesting to analyze this data set?)As students prepare for future semesters they typically want the most information they can get beforechoosing their courses. For some students having a good instructor is very important to them.
