The PSR goals are used to help the client regain their independence. These goals focus more on the clients strengths which is so important because often times the client focuses on negatives about themselves or their life and struggle to see the positive things. Optimism and building on the clients strengths I believe is key to the client being successful, which brings me to the PSR values. PSR values and principles are all important because everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Often times in the people with mental illness aren't treated with dignity and its hard for people to see past that mental illness and to see all the strengths that person has. So it is up to us as workers to make sure these values and principles
