As Christians, we are constantly called to trust God in all things, from everyday small matters to large decisions or problems. Ideas of this trust can be found throughout the entirety of the Bible, but is mentioned frequently in Psalms, Isaiah and Romans. “Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.” from Psalms 62:8 embodies how we ought to trust God, “The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” (Psalms 18:2). God is many things to his people, and the picture of a shepherd is very accurate. The sheep, Christians, need to trust their shepherd, God, to stay protected and benefit the most. There are over forty verses in Psalms that have to do with trusting God, spotlighting the importance of trusting

According to the eleventh chapter of the book of Hebrews, “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen, it gives us assurance about things we cannot see” (Heb. 11:1, NIV). People apply their faith for a range of reasons:some make use of their faith for material things, while others simply exert their faith to auricularly discern God’s voice. Faith gives us both a positive declaration and confidence. On the other hand, doubt causes both fear and equivocality. Hence, fear and faith cannot co-subsist.…

“Oh, the joys of those who do not follow evil men’s advice, who do not hang around with sinners, scoffing at the things of God.” (Psalm 1:1, Living Bible). Psalm 1:1 uses the synonymous parallelism. The synonymous parallelism is identified in this verse because both lines articulate the same idea (Tullock & McEntire, 2012). The verse describes the actions of what is godly via not listening to or being associated with evil.…

When you walk into a church you may realize that there are serval paintings, but what you may have not noticed is their significance. If you look at each painting closely you may notice that they tell a story. A plethora of people value trust over many other qualities in a relationship, but that confidence can be easily broken. Human beings have a tendency to believe lies more often than they actually accept the truth. Winston Churchill said, “A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.” As seen in Othello: The Moor of Venice by William Shakespeare, Iago’s lies spread throughout Othello’s world, and it is too late for the truth to overcome the deception. The build up of fabrications result in Othello deciding to believe Iago over his own wife because of his insecurities about his race, lack of information about Venice, and Iago’s ability to manipulate situations to his advantage.…

Overall my attachment style is that of the secure relationship style, but I tend to revert toward the avoidant attachment style at times. The majority of the time when meeting people I perceive them as able of loving me, and that, I, myself am capable of receiving love from that specific person. In certain scenarios when insecurity can creep in, I lean toward the avoidant attachment style by placing my value in myself and in my academic work. During these scenarios, when I allow my insecurities to momentarily triumph, I tend to believe that others are unreliable in meeting my needs, and that I must provide for myself. Fundamentally, I have a secure attachment style, because parents who always loved me, supported me, and were involved in my…

When a mailbox is complete, it serves as the place where important messages are safeguarded and received. Similarly, when trust has finally been built with someone, a person becomes the “go-to guy” for dependable advice and for confiding secrets.…

Christians spend their life knowing that they are made in the image of God and that they are to imitate Him and His actions. One’s faith is dictated by believing in God but in some cases like the Christians have, believing that Christ revealed God through the Catholic Church and the body of Christ is united in the Holy Spirit. The word “believing” in the statement above means that our God wants us to partake in His divine life. Faith is one of the most evident replies we can give to God as a sign that we are his disciples and accept Him as our one and only Lord and Saviour. It is when we knock in his door that he says, “Please come in!” Yes, I do think that we believers of God must possess a certain type of dedication that we must change in order for us to live by His words and follow Him.…
