Our Veterans for years have struggle to access health care. These groups of population are vulnerable because they cannot obtain an appointment for health care within a reason time frame. A recent article discusses how the Veteran Administration kept double sets of appointment books. One book claim the wait time for new patient appointment was 24 days when in reality it was 115 days if not more. Additionally, it was discovered that 1700 veterans had no appointments and were still waiting for care. Many of the Veterans suffer from PTSD along with other health issues and to expect them to wait 115 days or more is absurd and offensive.
