Penny's are a National waste in terms of currency. They are unused, overproduced, and do more harm to the taxpayers then good. This currency is just too small to be of widespread use of the economic system we have today. This is why the United states should remove this insignificant currency. First off because the penny goes unused and is still being manufactured it is driving down the amount of money the government has to spend on other things like, Schools for the children. You wouldn't want to take that away from the kids now so would you? There are 13 billion pennies made each year, equating to about 130 million dollars in pennies, more than half of which are unused resulting in at least 65 million dollars that could go to more
