Period 1
When you open up a Bible, the first verse says that. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1, NIV Bible). Creationism is the belief of just that, that God created the heavens and earth. Studies have shown that fifty-five percent of Americans believe in Creation, while forty-five percent believe in Evolution. Evolutionism is the theory of evolution, where organisms gradually improve themselves, and acquire characteristics. There is the Theistic Evolutionist who understand that God began the evolutionary process. Then, there is the natural evolutionist that believe that God had not part in the process, and that man evolved over millions of years. However, there are many times that radiometric dating has contradicted itself. (Hodge, 2007) says that the half -life of carbon14 is 5,730 years, so that being said, the carbon 14 in organic material that is said to be 100,000 years old should now be nitrogen. For instance, radiometric dating has said that a piece of wood trapped in lava flows is millions of years old, but it still has carbon 14 inside. Therefore, radiometric dating is unreliable because we know that it can’t be millions of years old because of the carbon 14 found inside. If radiometric dating fails at giving a correct date on something that we know the date of, then how can we rely on radiometric dating to give us reliable information on things we don’t know the age of? It is much more reasonable to have faith in the Word of God, who is the creator of the earth, and has given us the Bible to find out the history as well as the age of …show more content…
Creation has been proven multiple times, and Evolution has been caught several times for the false information they have shared. It has been made clear to us that evolution is a lie and creation is the truth. In the Bible it’s says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” (Hebrews 11: 1-3, KJV Bible). Hebrews 11: 1-3 tells us that faith is what enables us to see the invisible, and spiritual order, and that we need faith in order to see what we can’t see and touch what we are unable to touch. Faith is not a belief or understanding, it is being willing to trust, rely, and cling to. All of the great examples of godliness in the Bible had all different situations and circumstances, but faith was what they all had in common. Through faith we are able to recognize that world was made by God, and that everything that we can see was not created by things we can
