Humans worship many different Gods for a variety of reasons, but none of them pray to titans. Humans sacrifice and pray to Gods whom they believe created us and our world; however, the truth is the work of a clever titan by the name Prometheus is the reason for the existence of humans. Prometheus is a creator of many different things on earth that include wild animals and humans who he believes to be his most precious creation. Prometheus shows his care and love for the humans through the risks and sacrifices that he puts upon himself in order to help the human race. Prometheus deceives Zeus to choose a sacrifice with only fat portions in order to help the humans avoid future starvation, following this act of deception Prometheus steals the fire taken by Zeus gifts it back to the humans; ultimately, Prometheus accepts the subject to eternal pain and torture in order to atone for his multiple acts of deception against Zeus to help the humans. …show more content…
Zeus, the God of Olympus, is a god who instills fear upon immortal gods and goddesses; therefore, it is through Prometheus’s care for the humans that he gathers the courage necessary to attempt to deceive Zeus. Prometheus deceives Zeus through an ox which Prometheus has adjusted the body parts of. Prometheus makes the boned section of the ox appear big and juicy with a thick layer of fat over the bones; on the other hand, he assembles the part of the ox with meat to appear skinny and rotten. Furthermore, Zeus fails to see through the work of Prometheus and chooses the bones of the ox covered in fat as the type of sacrifice that the humans would give up to the gods.
