INTRODUCTION
I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money, but what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. (Morel, 2008)
This famous quote from the movie Taken, provides us with the sense of what it takes to be a professional. It provides us with the beginning, an understanding, that we need a very particular set of skills. It is how those skills fit in, that provide us with the understanding of the definition of professionalism and what it takes to get there.

No two professions are the same and it would be impossible to become an expert in every skill listed for such profession. The best advice would be to find that one aspect which interests you and get to know that aspect inside and out, as perfect as can be! That being said, keep in mind that no one is perfect. Furthermore, "A true professional is really someone who exudes professionalism. This quality is reflected in a collection of attitudes and actions that demonstrate dedication to a specific goal and that usually inspire respect and admiration from colleagues." From the article "Are You A Professional?" (2013). An excellent example of inspiration and respect can be seen through the reading of an article by John Beckman, a city Planner, hired to rebuild New Orleans after hurricane Sandy, “He pointed out that it was his responsibility to have concern for long-range consequences of the actions and had a duty to educate clients and the public on issues relevant to their lives” (Beckman, 2013). He could have just done his job, said nothing but he went above and beyond to make sure all parties understood the proposals. He should be commended for the display of ethical integrity and receive genuine respect from all
