The organization provided me with a source of hope and strength as I battled the disease myself, and changed my whole perspective and outlook on life. The organization blossomed from one woman’s personal battle with the disease, and questioning why there were not enough treatments being developed, to leaders in research, awareness, and prevention on a global and domestic scale (MRF, 2015).
