The professional behavior objective was met. This objective was met when a nurse called a CHAT (Children’s Hospital Assessment Team) on one of her patient’s. When the nurse decided to call a CHAT she remained calmed and notified the charge nurse and the family. Telling the family of the need of the CHAT team shows great professional behavior. The family member was scared at the time due to the decline in the patient’s condition. The nurse was able to keep the family member calm and reassure her that the nurses were doing their best. Once the CHAT team arrived the nurse and family member stayed calm and answered the questions appropriately. Overall, this was a positive experience and the nurse used excellent professional behavior with the CHAT
