A significant challenge that occurred in my life began in May 2015, when my girlfriend and I discovered that she was pregnant. Because of our Catholic upbringing, we are both pro-life, so abortion was never an option for either of us. The only question was whether we were going to keep the baby, or give him or her up for adoption. After much deliberation, we decided that based on our situation, in which we had 2 sets of parents that were willing to help and support us in any way they could, we would keep the baby. A little over 9 months later, on January 20th, my now-fiancée (we got engaged in September) gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Ellis Benjamin Dapprich, 9 days after her due date and after more than 24 hours of induced labor. “No woman can call herself free who does not own and control her own body. No woman can call herself free until she can choose consciously whether she will or will not be a mother.” (Lader, 18) This quote by Margaret Sanger shows the opinion of the Pro-Choice stance on Abortion. In order to understand the Pro-Choice stance on abortion completely, it’s necessary to examine how an abortion affects a mother’s education and career, a child’s survivability, a mother’s health, and the definition of personhood.…

Abortion is one of the most controversial and hotly debated topics of this day and age. The reason for this surrounds the idea of whether the induced expulsion of the fetus is murder or rather in the interest of the mother. Pro-life activists debate that all life in the instant of its conception is innocent and deserves a chance at life. God chooses its time of life and death, not the mother. Pro-choice followers often argue in favor of science and the United States Constitutional Ninth Amendment, which holds freedom of choice sacred.…

We had planned on a longer stay but we I had realized that I was with child and we decided that we should return to America. When we got back on January 6th, 2027 I immediately got an appointment with my doctor to figure out how far along I was in the pregnancy. Doctor Cullen said that I was about a week and half long in my pregnancy. Then he gave me a list of food and excises to do and eat so that the baby would grow healthy. So after the appointment I went home and told Toby about what the doctor had said and he was so happy to know that he would be a father and right away he had me call my parents to let them know the good news.…

There has been a long existing debate of “Pro-Life” versus “Pro-Choice” about whether or not women should be able to abort a child. Many people being Pro-Choice will use the argument that the fetus isn 't a living person, and rather that it is the woman’s body; therefore the woman’s choice. There are other options women have such as adoption: waiting until the baby is born and providing the child a well-suited family to properly care for them. I believe any way you can avoid aborting a child is better than abortion because you give the child a chance for life. An unborn child in the womb contains all of the characteristics for it to be considered living, proving abortion is morally and scientifically wrong.…
