Basically what happens is with both implants the chip in the brain can interpret the signals and signs telling other parts of the body to move. They then send the down to the spinal chip to send them to the rest of the body. With the placement of the chip and the technology with them, these fully paralyzed primates on now able to walk, run, jump, and do any sort of maneuvering they please. That is yet to be tested. However, they say as far as the monkeys they have tested, with the chips up and running they have practically full movement. Although scientist are a long way from trying this technology out on humans, they have still made remarks about how for the first time there is a great possibility for people with no movement in their legs or body to be able to move once more through this new technology named brain-spine
