1. The primary group of which I am apart is my family. This reflects a primary group because we see each other frequently. It more than two. We also do almost everything together. We go out to eat almost every weekend.
2. The formal Organization I chose is a job. This reflects the attributes of a secondary group because at work there is a large number of people and most of the time they only talk at work. They also all have a purpose for being there. The type of formal organization I have is utilitarian. This fit because it’s a large secondary group that follows explicit rules and procedures. Also it people joined to get income or other personal benefits.
3. McDonaldization is more of a constant. What I mean by that is if you go a McDonald in Tennessee it should look the same in another state. The things should be done the same way in any state. Should have a strong focus quantity over quality and everything is done properly and quickly. You can’t choose your family. The status I hold in the formal organization is achieved status because I had to send off my resume and application. Then I had to go in for an interview. I had to put in an effort so that I can get the job. The status that is attached to my family is a little sister, daughter, auntie, and a niece. I have roles with all of these but I’m only going to give 2 examples. The role of being a daughter is to respect your parents and do chores. The roles of being an auntie are to help my niece when she needs it or getting her from school. An example of a role conflict is me having to go and get my niece from school while at work. A role strain would be at you're at work and you have to do multiple things at the same
