Global warming affects everyone and everything on this planet, but with so many different opinions, theories, and predictions it can get confusing to know what the primary cause of global warming is. Global warming is simply defined as a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth 's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide and other pollutants. Global warming has an overwhelming effect on plants and other organisms in the ecosystem as well as on the ecosystem overall, leading many to believe that this is primarily a natural phenomenon. However, it can’t be only a coincidence that the rapid climate change corresponds perfectly with the increased amount of pollutants that humans release into the environment. Humans are the primary cause of global warming, most contributing to global warming on a daily basis. Throughout the years earth has heated and cooled many times, but during the last century another force has started to contribute to earth’s temperature leading many scientists to begin to believe humans play a larger part in our climate than originally thought.
