Chapters 1-5

• The first thing Palmer learned about himself was that he did not want to become a wringer
• Palmer is celebrating his 9th birthday
• He invited Beans, Mutto, and Henry
• They’re the leaders of the gang
• Palmer’s mother gave him better presents than Beans, Mutto, and Henry
• But palmer still liked their presents because they did it themselves
• Palmer, “Snots”, is now one of the guys
• Fish face was the guys name for Dorothy Gruzik
• Palmer’s mother always tried making Dorothy and palmer friends
• But they were in different grades
• Palmer hates the park especially the soccer field
• Because that’s where pigeon day occurs
• When they went to the soccer field Beans and Mutto pretended to wring Henry as if he were a pigeon

• Palmer’s second pigeon day he went with Dorothy
• Dorothy did not like pigeon day
• She started running because of fright
• The next pigeon day palmer didn’t want to go so him and Dorothy went to the park
• Beans real name is Arthur Dodds

Chapters 11-15

• This year palmer was not excited about family fest because he knew next year he would have to become a wringer
• Pigeon day was just a fundraiser for the park
• Beans and Mutto decided to visit palmer at night and sleep with him
• Then they all snuck out of Palmer’s house
• They went to see all the sleeping pigeons that were soon going to be killed
• The weather was a little crazy
• So palmer put his sled away to try and make the cold leave
• It worked, earlier in the day it was hot but later it started snowing
• There was a pigeon outside of palmer’s window
• Palmer wanted it to leave for his safety
• Because f Beans saw the pigeon he would wring its neck
• The next day the pigeon was back
• Again palmer tries to make it go away

Chapters 16-20

• Palmer opened the window and the pigeon walked in and nipped Palmer
• Palmer asked his mom to knock on the door from now on because he needs “privacy’
• Palmer just didn’t want her seeing the pigeon
• Palmers mother
