The U.S. Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF) guidelines was chosen and appraised by utilizing the AGREE II instrument regarding the use of aspirin in the prevention or reduction of cancer. A drafted recommendation statement was presented in October 2015, which was released by the U.S. Preventative Services Task Force based upon a systematic review conducted by the Kaiser Permanente Research Affiliates Evidence-based Practice Center (EPC) under contract to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), this initial draft recommendation was submitted and opened to the public so that they could maintain "high level of transparency" in their development methods( USPSTF, 2015).

Scope and Purpose (element 1-3 which includes the overall specific objective(s), specific health question covered, & specific population described). 2. Stakeholder Involvement (element 4-6 includes all persons involved in the guideline development, the populations views, & clearly defined users of the guidelines). 3. Rigour of Development (element 7-14 includes systematic method to search evidence, clear description for selection criteria, strengths and limits, methods used to formulate recommendations, risks & benefits considered, direct links between evidence and recommendation, expert external reviews prior to publication, and method for updating the guidelines). 4. Clarity of Presentation (element 15-17 consist of readily identifiable recommendations, clear presentation of management options for the heath condition(s)). 5. Applicability (element 18-21 consists of auditing criteria, advise on how to put recommendations into practice, and description of the barriers and facilitators to the application of the guidelines). 6. Editorial Independence (element 22-23 include the funding body views were not influential and competing
