Discrimination and prejudice against different races have been around since human existence. Discrimination is defined as a different treatment of a different group of people based on their look, social category, and class. Prejudice is a preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual opinion. These two actions are seen in everyday lives and researcher Don Middleton ties them together perfectly, “This hating of others for no good reason is called prejudice. Prejudiced people often discriminate against others.” (Middleton 6).
