Prejudice is a serious problem that the world still faces every day. In America, prejudice is not on the same level as Syria, Brazil, or North Korea. I do not care that we are “not as bad” we are still not where we need to be. Prejudice is toxic and can hinder a society or culture from reaching its full potential. In some Middle Eastern nations, a woman is banned from any education. This legislation fueled by prejudice cuts the potential working population and potential household income significantly. When you cut that out, it limits the growth of an economy. Prejudice also can cause aggression from the oppressed group.
