Public schools had prayer for 200 years before the Supreme Court ruled that state mandated class prayers were unconstitutional. Morals must still be taught and cannot properly be taught without religion. Early presidents encouraged prayer in school. Allowing students to participate in prayer is a setting standard. Being that prayer was taken out of public schools education has shown a decline. In the late 1960’s prayer was removed from all public schools. Students killing each other left and right. Do not get me wrong private schools are very different from public schools.
A student as stated before can be against a certain religion. It starts with the upbringing of the children. A child who was brought up around violence and guns is not the correct way to train up a child. You are supposed to train up a child in the way you want them to go. If you are not showing a good example on how to be raised the child is only going to follow your led.
Prayer changes a lot of views which instills inside the child’s mind that there is a God. I do believe if we stopped children from being online all day long and start them into making it to church the world would become a better place. How does a child know they do not like or agree with a certain religion. Sit down and think about it what is prayer really hurting. I have never saw someone get prayed for and it hurt them. If a parent does not accept prayer in schools and the school continues to participate in prayer sending the child home the parent would not be able to tell the student had prayer that
