Theological Definition: Prayer
Prayer is a privilege and an obligation of Christian where we communicate with God. It is how we convey our confession (1 John 1:9), requests (1 Tim. 2:1-3), intercessions (James 5:5), thanksgiving (Phil. 4:6), etc., to our holy God. We are commanded to pray (1 Thess. 5:17). The principle of pray is, prayer is our lifeline for victory, every person’s journey in prayer is as unique as they are, prayer begins with the voice of God. And He is waiting for your voice, to intercede means to pray and intervene for another, God will prepare you for greater intercession, the church is a house of prayer for all nation because God restricts himself to the faith of the church. Stop all movements and focus on Jesus, he will calm my heart, mind, and spirit. When you become calm, when the Holy Spirit fills you with peace, your mind will be able to think clearly. And know it’s okay when you don’t have anything to say in your prayer. Simply focusing on Jesus is a precious form of prayer that He loves because you are seeking Him. Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 NKJV). Prayer, faith and any other spiritual element of one’s faith are pointless without a practical application that signifies what you believe. Prayer alone isn’t the answer. Prayer is probably the most overlooked and underestimated power available to Christian. It’s dialogue with God, spoken or unspoken. It’s praising and acknowledging Him anytime, anywhere, on bended knee, standing, walking. It doesn’t matter. Psalm 9:1-2 reminds us to give thanks to the Lord with our whole heart and tell everyone what He has done. Prayer is also a relationship with the Lord. 1 John 4:4 tells us we are His children, so being His child, we have the privilege to communicate with our Father directly. When we conclude our prayers, we should praise our wonderful God and rejoice in the hope of His promises for our future. Father, we praise you for all of your wonderful works and that you’ll lead us into your glorious presence without fault. Blessed be His glorious name forever; may the whole earth be filled with His glory (Psalm 72:19). The conclusion of the whole matter is. Fear God, and keep his commandments for this the whole duty of man (Ecclesiastes 12:13). It’s our hope and prayer and testaments of faith that we “almost” don’t have to become “actuality” keep fighting and preserving. Man, we are strong. Courageous and all around we are exceptional
