The number of organic producers has risen more than 5% in a year. Currently, there are almost 20,000 certified organic farms in the country. (Williams) Recently, I had the pleasure to visit the organic garden at Central College and experience the wonders of organic food production. The farmers worked hard to make sure no pesticides were sprayed on the plants, while keeping in mind the impact of their planting techniques. Giselle Bruskewitz, the supervisor of the garden, states “One third of our food relies on pollinators.
