A post-season playoff that leads up to the National Championship would settle the dispute of how to choose the fair way to determine the national champion. Each school would then get fair chance at the championship. For the 2014-2015 season, there is a playoff system, that was proposed, in effect through the 2025 season. This playoff system will consist of two playoff games with the top four teams, chosen by a selection committee, going for the title.
The number one and number four seeded teams will face each other, while number two and number three will face off. Many people still think that this system is too closely related to the BCS system, the playoff system before this new system was proposed. To make the playoff system less disputable, the playoffs

The sixteen team playoff system is simpler and and easy to figure out. It won’t be a mess like the BCS system, and also it will help settle down the angry fans that don’t like the normal system. The BCS gives undefeated teams better seeding, so schools would try to get an easier schedule to get that high seed. The playoff system will remove that easy schedule and make the championship only about performance. National champions in other major sports are determined by using a playoff system, so why not do a playoff system for college football? It should at least be attempted.
The new playoff system is using two bowl games as the semifinals to the championship. Every year, the semifinals will switch bowl games. And then the next season, the semifinals will be the Chick-fil-A Bowl and the Fiesta Bowl. The winners of those bowl games will go on to the championship. This system is very confusing and only gives the bowl qualifying teams a shot at the national

“It’s not a perfect deal, but it repeals House Bill 2 and begins to repair our reputation.” North Carolina faced much backlash since HB 2 was passed in [insert date]. Most notably, the NCAA announced it would no longer host its championship basketball games in the state after North Carolina passed the law. The NCAA released a statement on April 4 stating that North Carolina will be included in its process of selecting the site for championships, and that the previous decision to host the 2017-18 championships in the state will remain. “We have been assured by the state that this new law allows the NCAA to enact its inclusive policies by contract with communities, universities, arenas, hotels, and other service providers that are doing business with us, our students, other participants, and fans,” the NCAA said in the statement.…

The electoral college has made up our nation's election system. There are 538 electors in the United States. How it works is, if the nominee wins the majority vote, then they win the electoral vote for that whole state. The electoral number is based on the number of representatives and senates that state has. The electoral college should change because the citizens of America should count each vote, give the larger states more electoral votes, and by making sure there are no illegal actions taking place.…

The relocation would clearly impact the ACC, which created the legislation. The NBA has changed its All-Star Game by moving it away from Charlotte in the past week out of hostile response to the heated law House Bill 2, but the ACC commissioner named John Swofford mentioned at his conventions there is no speedy proposal to shadowing the suit with the league’s football championship game. There was some long discussion regarding this matter in May at their spring meetings, and in that period they made the determination concerning where the championships would be hosted for the ’16-17 year, Swofford mentioned to ESPN. In this situation they are doing what is best for them and not the NBA but Atlantic Coast Conference.…

Requiem For The Big East is about a great conference that dominated men’s college basketball for a long time of the past 35 years, held the highest conference tournament at New York’s Madison Square Garden. It’s too satisfying in the long run, continually returning to the final Syracuse/Georgetown conference matchup in the semifinal of the 2013 Big East tournament. Conferences like the Pac-12, the Big Ten, and ACC that have had relatively equal success in football and basketball are still standing. And it’s sad that the Big East, the main event for the northeast basketball schools that often didn’t have the best campuses of state universities elsewhere in the country, was forced to participate in an athletic revenue…

The Electoral College is not, as its name suggests, a physical place, but more appropriately a procedure. It was formed by the framers of our Constitution as a compromise between a popular vote and Congressional vote for the presidential election process. They felt that the general public of their time was not educated enough to elect the president, as well as they aimed to keep the election of the president out of the hands of the majority. It is called for by Article II, Section 1, Clause 2 of the U.S. Constitution and was adjusted by the 12th and 23rd amendments. The Electoral College currently consists of 538 members with the number of electoral votes per state being equal to the amount of representatives sent to the House plus the two…

In a presidential race, the candidate with the highest popular vote can lose to a candidate with the lower popular vote if the candidate with the lower popular vote has more electoral votes. Originally, the electoral college was created to compromise the people's vote with congress’ vote. Some people argue that the electoral college should be changed or abolished while others think that there is nothing wrong with it. The electoral college needs to be changed because one party should not be able to change the possible president and the House of Representatives should not either, but there does need to be a secure way to elect a president.…
