“Have You Filled a Bucket Today?” is a great book for children to read and in my opinion belongs in the top 100 list of children’s books. Children need to learn how their actions affect themselves and others and the book does that in a way that most children can enjoy. I personally had the book read to me and my class at the age of twelve and it made me and my classmates think about our actions and helped to make us more mindful of how we treat one another. The book promotes good deeds by showing children how they and others feel when they do good and bad. After children read this book the story helps to lead children to a life of happiness. Carol McCloud wrote the book “Have You Filled a Bucket Today?” and it was illustrated by David Messing. The book uses an interactive story line, implements visual elements, and uses multi-cultural aspect to make the message clear and grab the reader’s attention. I believe all of these elements make the book worthy of belonging in the top 100 list of children books.
