In this day and age, technology is becoming increasingly popular, this leads to a change in lifestyle and especially in children – priorities. Paturel (2014) states that kids so often focus on becoming successful in the virtual world that playing computer games often comes before schoolwork.

Technology is a machine or useful piece of equipment that is used to solve problems (Merriam-Webster.com, 2015). According to Hopey (1999), the use of technology has grown exponentially in the past few years. Along with the increase of technology, it has been found that the use of computers and internet worldwide has grown by 46% in the last 20 years (Internetworldstats.com, nd).
