One day, Orion came to the island of Chios, for he could walk on water as though it was land. The island of Chios was full of chaos, infested with wolves, boars, and lions with howls so loud that at night the king of Chios could never fall asleep. The king promised Orion the hand of his daughter in marriage if he could hunt all the animals making the terrible noises.
