Therefore, Pop-Tarts should be first introduced during the Christmas holiday season. When you compare the Pop-Tart to traditional Norwegian pastry, it is quite similar, it just offers a whole new spectre of flavors. Especially the chocolate ones are going to be very popular, after that the ones with berries. Norwegian food and sweets takes its inspiration from the U.S, and it has been like this for centuries. After the first Hollywood movies came on the market, Norwegian’s have been obsessed with the American culture. It started with the introduction of Coke, now you have Skittles, Oreos, Snickers, and even Beef Jerky has made its way to the Norwegian shelfs. That being said, replacing the already existing traditional goods, is not an easy task. For that reason, we must introduce just a few variations at first. Too many will make the consumer overwhelmed and they will refrain form buying it. For instance, introducing the Halloween edition with pumpkin spice, then around Christmas the strawberry with sprinkles and gingerbread flavor. This is to limit the amount of candy and pastry the kids consume during the whole week. As a result, in the weekends the sale of sweets increase significantly. Also, during festivals such as 17th of May or other summer festivals around the country. There are often farmers markets, who sell a lot of sweets and pastries. Pop-Tart needs attend these markets, which will improve the perception and spread the Pop-Tart among the people of Norway. Often children are here, if they absorb the product, it can become an instant favorite among them. As mentioned earlier, we want to mainly focus the export around the Oslo area. The main reason is because this part of Norway are less considerate when it comes to the old Norwegian traditions, it has become westernized, and the population is a mix of Norwegians and people from all over the world. We believe they will approve of the Pop-Tart and become their favorite candy for the future. Also, the American culture stands strong, people watch American movies, tv shows and tries to follow the trends from America. Therefore, we should launch commercials, that for instance portraits an American famous person in Norway, eating the Pop-Tart. Sort of a collaboration between the two
