Pont du Gard have three level of arches and its buttress. The biggest Buttress are used at the bottom level follow by the bigger ones and on the top big buttress. This technique allowed for stability and emphasis on the advancement of Romans as at that time period. In this pieces, numerous number of arch are aligned together side by side about nine hundred feet long to form an arcade which allows for pressure on water for easier transportation to the outlets.
