Once she regained a sense of direction, the ship had left, far from sight.
“Well, now what am I supposed to do?”, she muttered to herself, shocked and confused.
She tried to visualize the map of the region that had been in her home, but her mind only drew a blank. Knowing that she couldn’t stay in one spot forever, she started flying south, hoping to find dry land before it grew too dark. In the far distance, she heard the call of a ship, but decided it’d be against her own interests. After nearly four hours of flying, she saw a small island and flew with full speed towards it. As she landed, she morphed back into a human and collapsed on the shore, unconscious. Ponithea awoke to a slight peck on her knee and a faint call of a songbird. Her eyes fluttered open, and she saw a dark outline of a young boy. “Are you okay, miss?”, he whispered impishly. “I’ll let you guess”, Ponithea muttered in a sarcastic tone. “Well, there’s no need for your sass, I’m just here to help.” “Alright.
