Human activities are a major source of air pollution in our cars, trucks, and other forms of transportation do a great deal to pollute in the air. The book, Pollution Opposing Viewpoints, claims that there are varieties of ways that influence air pollution, but “the most common contaminants come from burning of petroleum hydrocarbon, the using of pesticides and industrial and domestic discharges due to those contaminants entering into the environment” (Roleff 26). Petroleum hydrocarbon is released by industrial factories and affects us all. The power plants burning coal and factories produce dust generated by construction works.
