Political Philosophy overview
Why does Government exist? Government exists to regulate citizens of any given Country. The Government has certain responsibilities that they must put forth to protect and honor its citizens. Such as maintaining providing public services (schools, roads, libraries etc.), military defense,preserving order within the community, socialize the young, and collect taxes.
Which controls should governments exert over individuals? Governments should have the control to preserve order within the community, such as controlling mass protesting and keeping citizens in line with the law. governments also have the right to collect taxes to provide public services for the people.

Being raised in the heart of Portland, with a liberal parent, who had lots of experiences to share with me about the world. I am also in an AP government class this year, Mr. Alves has taught me a lot about how the Government functions and how it is put forth. I also have participated in multiple protests to advocate for citizens against Donald Trump and the Women's March downtown.

First Amendment: Congress will make no law to establish any religion, Congress will make no law to prohibit people from participating in any religion. Congress will protect people of any religion of any religious persecution by implementing their religious beliefs. Congress will make no law restricting the right to peacefully protest. Congress will make make no law restricting freedom of speech however will protect citizens from hateful speech. Congress will protect citizens from fake news.
Second Amendment: Civil rights may not be denied upon the basis of one's sex, race, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identification.
