Court Hierarchy-
In Queensland there three levels of court, the first court level is the magistrates court. The next level of court is district it is then followed by the supreme and then the court of appeal and the high court. Most civil cases are first heard in the magistrates court and the less serious cases are heard in this court. There are also a children’s court in the magistrates court it is like another branch to the court. It is closed to the public it is for offenders from the age of 17 an under. There is also one more branch from the magistrates court called Coroners court. It is for sudden or accidental deaths.
