There were also guardrails present to ensure that the children could get up or down from the structures with

While conducting the park check, I observed a yellow and black Chevy Blazer with a trailer approximately 25 feet in length parked directly East across from the park The vehicle and trailer were illegally parked in the grass. Furthermore, the vehicle and trailer were parked in front of a "No parking Any Time" and a "Tow Away Zone" signs. The vehicle was also blocking several newspaper boxes. In "Hey! Parents, Leave Those Kids Alone. “Hana Rosin shares her views on the overprotective behaviour of parents towards their children and its effects on the development of the kids. The author starts by explaining about old age adventure playgrounds and their significance in making a child aware of the risks and dangers involved while doing any fun task independently. She emphasises on the thought by giving views of a landscape architect, according to which, playgrounds should be designed in such a way “that kids could move around and manipulate to create their own makeshift structures.” (Rosin, 77).…

In addition to this teachers must have an ID to reenter the building and guests must be buzzed in by the front desk secretary. After entering the building any guest must sign in with the secretary and state why they were at the school for the day. Another point of safety is the playgrounds. There is a separate playground for the younger kids, this creates a safer, more enjoyable play time for both age groups. By making them shorter the child can reach any thing that is on top, look over (without stepping on anything), and will build on their independence. If the room is set up so that there is a straight path or circle, running room has been created, and may lead to an accident. Eliminate the possibility of running room to create a more-safe environment. Also when purchasing equipment, make sure that the surfaces are smooth so that they are easier to…

If CCMS received one million dollars this is what I would improve the cafeteria, update the 7th and 8th grade wing, and sports. I would improve the cafeteria that way it could hold more people that way we don't have to have 1st and 2nd lunches. I would also improve the 7th and 8th grade wing because it's not really the best. First, I would improve the cafeteria. We need a bigger place to eat because everyone is all bunched up and it's way to crowded plus I think this might help other people that are claustrophobic.…

Children and society as a whole can benefit significantly by maximizing the informal play and learning opportunities that naturalized outdoor play environments offer young children. Naturalized outdoor early childhood environments are places where children can reclaim the magic that is their birthright, the ability to grow and learn to their fullest in their unique experiential way through the joy of exploration and discovery in the natural world. But perhaps even more important, naturalized playgrounds offer the hope that children will develop the environmental values to become the future stewards of the Earth who will preserve the diversity and wonder of…

Rare accidents on playgrounds have caused us to be tense and worrisome. Plus, lawsuits and complaints have led us to adding more and more regulations on slides, toys, and even the ground where kids play. Have we gone too far on holding our kids back from fun? Hanna would say that making all these restrictions on a child’s free time and enjoyment doesn’t reduce the amount of injuries, but just reduces the child’s creativity that came with the old ways of play. All and all, is it better for our kids to freely learn, experience things, and grow into adults instead of being so tightly restricted and scared by life?…

I feel it is important to note that these programs are very new and have not been established for long, so although a lot of their accommodations for children do not meet the Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale, at least when I observed, it is understandable why. However, the infant and toddler rooms had great outdoor space for gross motor play and is located by a nature trail surrounded by trees and other natural life. I felt this influenced the children to be more explorative, and the teachers did a great job pointing out educational instances while they experienced them…

It also had an accessible swing, a drink fountain that contains three different height basins. A picnic table that is accessible from the playground, and it allows a wheelchair to maneuver up to the table. In addition to transfer platforms and balconies with activity panels.
