Introduction: Monotremes have long left the earth, dying off many years ago. But there is still one that remains, the Platypus. Monotremes are mammals that lay eggs instead of having live offspring, like most of the mammals that are alive today. This makes the platypus unique and unlike any other animal. At one point of time, scientists actually thought the platypus was a hoax, it was that strange. A few things that make them interesting compared to other animals include the description, environment, and evolution of the platypus. The general public knows little to nothing about the platypus. That is why I want to inform about the Platypus: The Duck-Billed, Otter-Tailed, Egg-Laying Mammal.

Conclusion: The Platypus is such a unique and interesting
