I completely agree. Plagiarizing can jeopardize your academic career. One's reputation follows them everywhere. In high school, English was my favorite subject. I actually wanted to be a high school English teacher at one time. My senior English teacher, Mr. Potter, was the best teacher I could have ever asked for. I think he really set me up for success when it comes to writing. At the time, I thought he was a little too hard on us. However, now I realize he was doing us a huge favor. For example, one of our assignments was to do a book report. It had to be at least five pages long and nothing was double-spaced. So, I turned it in a felt confident in my work. Well, when I received my paper back it had a huge zero on it with a "come see me".
