During these times you want to get your assignment done in the quickest way. This is when I’m sure a lot of students turn towards plagiarism. Here are some tips for avoiding plagiarism from the book Writing Arguments: A Rhetoric with Readings.
1. Indicate all quotations with quotation marks or block indentation.
2. Create a bibliographic entry for each source.
3. Never cut and paste a web passage directly.
4. Use in-text-citations to indicate sources for all visuals and media.
5. Use in-text-citations for all ideas and facts that are not common knowledge.
