Freedom has and will always be apart of the United States. Governments have been created throughout time to help protect these freedoms. One example of a people establishing a government is the Pilgrims. The Pilgrims had traveled away from Britain to gain freedom of religion. These people were very focused on not loosing their freedom and set up the Mayflower Compact. This Compact helped the pilgrims remain free and not give power to one person.
