A physical therapist is a professional who diagnoses and treats individuals with medical problems that limit the ability and performance of daily activities. One of the first math topics a physical therapist would use is angle measurement. First, a physical therapist would describe how to bend a body part, for example, a joint. For an example, a strengthening exercise could require you to bend your elbow at 90 degrees. Secondly, they would describe how elevated a body part needs to be when resting. To clarify, a body part laying flat on the bed would be zero degrees while a level of how propped it would be would be with a degree measure and approximately how many pillows. Finally, physical therapists use angle measurement to describe range of motion.
