Physical issues associated with abuse isn’t really just one thing like with the mental issues. For the victims, it's common to have bruises from being grabbed. And if someone were to see the bruises, victims lie and usually use an excuse somewhere along the lines of falling or tripping. Common evidence of abuse on a victim, physically that is, includes bruising, black eyes, red or purple marks, or sprained wrists. The long-term physical issues are most commonly chronic fatigue, shortness of breath, muscle tension, involuntary shaking, eating/sleeping pattern changes, and sexual dysfunction. A lot of survivors of domestic abuse tend to think that self-medicating by using drugs or alcohol can help them, but it just makes it worse. It can actually
