If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes in his heart ( Nelson Mandela). It is no doubt that language is one of the factor that communication exist and still remain crucial between all humans today. Linguists in no exception played a major role in structuring these languages techniques, specifically English language There are a lot of field of linguistics have been developed throughout the years as a result of the changes of structures in the world and society. Thus the further explanation of this essay will be on five different fields, there are, Phonetics, Phonology, Morphology, Semantics and Sociolinguistics.
The first field that will be explained is Phonetics.

In this case, the structures of words are finally being formed making up of the smallest unit of meaning. Different words or nouns are being added to the original word to make different meaning, example the word 'drill' is being formed with 'fire' becomes 'fire drills'. Another example is, the word 'hose' is formed with the word 'fire' becomes 'fire hose' These are the examples of compounds in the morphology, it is made out of two separate words to give one meaning. The smallest unit of meaning separated is called 'morphemes'.
The next field of linguistics that will be explained is Semantics. This linguistic field focused on the meaning of the words. Simply, it is the use of different words but the meaning of it still remains the same, for examples synonyms and antonyms. In instance, 'fire' can be interpret as 'hot' or 'flames' in other meaning, 'fire' is used to dismiss a person from an occupation. Other way of using semantics in is Metaphor.
The last field is, the study of Sociolinguistics in linguistics field. This field are more concerned with the use of specific language in a specific society. An example, is the use of the word 'fire' in normal community usually describes as 'flame' or 'something hot' whereby in the military or war situation the word 'fire' is used to command the soldiers to attack the enemy. The impact of these fields has made it possible for linguists or people in general to understand the language, words and pronunciation better . Not only that, the use of these different linguistics field has also an important part to context or to complete a sentence. This is to strengthen and give more deep meaning of a particular line of a sentence. There will be two sentences that will be further explained on how these linguistics field are context or linked with the word used in it. The first sentence is "The soldier deserted his dessert in the desert" and the second one is "The geologist unearthed new evidence about the earth's
