In ancient China, there were different Philosophies such as Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism. Each of these philosophies feature different attributes and characteristics that were thought to be “correct” and “moral”. These specific behaviors are similar throughout the different philosophies, having little to no difference in what is said to be “wrong”. Along with similar philosophies, there are stories and traditions that affect certain values that people in china hold true to themselves. Foot binding, for example, is believed to be a form of expressing a woman's femininity and grace. Since high class women didn’t have to worry about work, there would be no harm in binding their feet, only the reward of beauty.
