I’m planning on graduating from Western Washington University in the summer of 2025 with a degree in biochemistry and completing my prerequisites for graduate level pharmacy school. I’m able to do so because I graduated with my associates degree through the running start program offered at our high school. I’ve also been working as a pharmacy assistant at a locally owned pharmacy in Ferndale. I plan on heading straight into graduate school after getting my bachelors degree if possible. If I don’t get in, I’ll work for a year and gain clinical experience and establish savings before trying again the next school year. I’ve taken four chemistry classes in the last year. And I’m only partway through the series of chemistry and pharmaceutical classes that I’ll need to take in order to reach a steady position in a job where I get to build personal relationships with patients and have the ability to have a direct role in helping someone go through life a little bit easier. My time as a pharmacy assistant has only made me more interested in drug manufacturing and biochemical interactions, but it has also made me aware of the patient care that is involved in this industry and the role that pharmaceuticals can play in making it easier for patients. I plan to work towards my pharmacy technician license this summer. 3) your financial need, and while im able to save money by commuting from blaine to bellingham everyday instead of dorming on campus, i am not receiving any financial assistance from my mother to pay for my college education. This means that I have to rely on the savings I have from working for the last two years and any scholarships and aid I can
