This exercise required some items such as Safety lancet, Alcohol wipe, A few heparinized capillary tubes, Bandage, Sealing clay, Paper towel, and electronic microscope. The procedure to observe the phagocytosis was more interesting. The first step was wiping a finger with alcohol pad, then, stick a finger with the lancet. The second step, we collected blood in a capillary tube and fill the capillary tube at 1/2 to 3/4 full. The third step, we pressed the capillary tube into the sealing clay and waited until speared the BCs to two layer. The lower layer contained RBCs, and the upper layer contained WBCs. Then , we jumped to prepare the phagocytosis method by putting a piece of filter paper in the bottom of a Petri dish with tap water, place the bent rod onto the filter paper, cover with the lid, and place the dish into the 37°C incubator to warm up and create a humid environment. When the BCs broke to tow layer plasma and RBCs, remove the tube from the sealing clay with a twisting motion and broke the capillary tube at the interface among RBC, plasma. Dropping a plasma that contains many of WBCs and distributed a small droplet of stained bacteria
