The population of Peru is estimated to be about 31.77 million people, making it the third largest country in South America. Peru’s capital city, Lima, has 9.8 million people. Peru has many different ranges of climate depending on location. Some parts of Peru can be dry and hot, the remaining parts of Peru can be rainy, or can be covered in mountain ranges. For instance, the Andes Mountains have different climate changes year-round. In summer, the climate is usually very hot and rainy, while winters are very dry with cooler temperatures.
